For years, Reba McEntire’s Starstruck Ranch stood as one of Middle Tennessee’s most recognizable celebrity estates. Located on 83 acres of rolling land along Old Hickory Lake in Lebanon, just outside Nashville, the property symbolized the height of McEntire’s success.
The country superstar used it for family gatherings, charity events, and business meetings, and it became a fixture in local lore as a place where music and hospitality met.
The ranch featured a 12,816-square-foot mansion with seven bedrooms, multiple living areas, and elegant lakefront views.
Outside, there were equestrian facilities, guest houses, a tennis court, and a pool—all part of the estate’s signature charm.
Sold for $5 Million After a Storied Run
McEntire first listed the property for $7.9 million, but eventually sold it in 2017 for $5 million, according to People and The Tennessean.
The buyer, Nashville investor Deron Lacy, envisioned transforming the ranch into a luxury event and wedding venue while preserving its country heritage.
At the time, locals were optimistic that Starstruck Farm—long a point of pride for the community—would continue serving as a landmark.
But within two years, those hopes faded as financial disputes emerged.
From Wedding Dream to Foreclosure Dispute
By 2019, Lacy was embroiled in a foreclosure battle with his lender.
The project stalled, and plans for development or restoration never materialized. County records later showed that the property had entered financial distress, with unpaid taxes and deteriorating conditions.
By 2021, WKRN Nashville reported that the once-immaculate grounds had grown over with weeds, and the barns and stables were visibly decaying.
What had once been McEntire’s pride and joy—and later a symbol of promise for event hosting—had fallen into disrepair.
From Starstruck to Heartbroken
For many residents of Wilson County, the farm’s decline was bittersweet.
During McEntire’s ownership, the estate wasn’t just a private retreat—it was part of the community.
Locals recall it as a hub for charity events and a source of local pride tied to one of country music’s most enduring figures.
Despite efforts from preservationists and fans to see the ranch revitalized, its foreclosure and neglect have turned what was once a showplace of Southern charm into an unfortunate reminder of how quickly fortunes can change—even for the most famous addresses.
